About Prowess Edge

At Prowess Edge Consulting, we believe empowered SROs are essential for safe and supportive schools. In this crucial role, you'll be our resident SRO training champion, partnering with schools, districts, and law enforcement agencies to develop and deliver top-notch SRO training programs and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with educators, law enforcement, and SROs to identify training needs and develop customized programs that address current issues and best practices.
  • Become an expert in SRO training methodologies, including de-escalation tactics, mental health awareness, restorative justice practices, and fostering positive school climate.
  • Design and deliver engaging and interactive SRO training programs that equip officers with the knowledge and skills to build trust with students, handle crisis situations effectively, and promote a positive school environment.
  • Facilitate ongoing professional development workshops and mentoring to support SROs in their daily roles.
  • Stay current on the latest trends and best practices in SRO training and school safety legislation.
  • Become a trusted advisor to schools, districts, and law enforcement agencies, providing ongoing support and celebrating SRO successes.

Qualifications

  • k this role, you’ll ideally possess:

    • A Master’s degree in Education Leadership, Criminal Justice, School Counseling, or a closely related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience working in the K-12 educational space, with a proven track record in SRO training, school safety initiatives, or law enforcement training.
    • Strong understanding of SRO roles and responsibilities, de-escalation techniques, and current school safety best practices.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
    • The ability to build trust and rapport with diverse stakeholders, including educators, law enforcement personnel, and SROs.
